Sound Advice has been singing together since 1999 and has won many awards including the 2010 Sweet Adeline Region 14 Quartet Championship. Throughout all these years together, all four have managed to remain married to their first husbands, all of whom are left-handed. What are the odds of that?
From singing at local wineries to strolling around annual holiday parties, Up All Night is available to add a little pizzazz to your special event around the Northern Virginia area. These ladies have only been together a short time, but their combined barbershop and music experience is extensive.
Both Heidi and Kristen (the baritone and bass) previously sang with choruses in Michigan and each competed with quartets in the Rising Star contest, a competition for young women under the age of 25. Heidi has been a Sweet Adeline since 1996, while Kristen joined in 2006.
With Vienna-Falls as their first barbershop chorus, Allison joined Sweet Adelines in 2013 and Sara joined in 2015. Allison, however, studied vocal and instrumental music at Virginia Tech where she sang with a variety of choral groups including the female a capella group Soulstice while also playing saxophone in various bands. She is currently an elementary school music teacher. Although Sara is relatively new to barbershop, her music experience is extensive.
